General Information

1. The price presented in your quote is based on an estimate of the required follicular units to be transplanted in order to achieve the desired results you’ve discussed with Dr. Bruno Ferreira. The units required are subject to change at any moment by the doctor, until on the day of surgery, immediately before or during surgery. You will always be informed of this change prior to anything being done and everything shall only move forward with your consent.

2. Please be aware of our Standard Pricing:

From the first to 4000 transplanted follicular units: 3,0€ per transplanted graft
From 4001 transplanted follicular units onwards: 2,5€ per transplanted graft

These prices are cumulative in the case of multiple surgeries. Tax is included in the pricing presented. Upon reservation, patient agrees to pay the full amount provided in their quote before or until the morning of surgery on arrival at our facilities.

3. Reservation

All patients are required to pay a reservation deposit to secure the desired dates for surgery. The reservation fee consists of a single payment of 1.000€. It will be rebated from your final payment of the surgery. Reservation fee is non-refundable. Patients may reschedule their surgery if they do so with one month in advance, in which case, their 1.000€ deposit will stand for their rescheduled surgery. If rescheduling happens with less than one month in advance, then patients agree to forfeit their deposit and must pay a new 1.000€ deposit to secure the new dates for surgery. Patients are allowed one rescheduling per reserved surgery.

4. Guarantee

We offer a guarantee with all of our hair transplants of up to 90% growth. 90% graft growth is considered for the reason that at any given moment, it is expected that about 10% of all follicular units are in a dormant phase (telogen phase) of the normal hair growth cycle and no hair shaft is observable.

Patients will benefit from a second transplant of the number of grafts that were verified not to grow at no extra charge.

In order to be eligible for guarantee, the patient must:

Comply to all post-operative instructions and medical treatments in a verifiable manner. - Not have had any post-operative trauma in the recipient area.
Send in his photographs or come in for photos at the required times.
Not miss any of the revisions.
Be at 12 or more months post-op.
Excluded from the 90% growth guarantee, but benefiting from a 50% growth guarantee are patients:
Diagnosed with DUPA/BUPA.
Scar repair cases.
Previous transplant repair cases.
Patients with zones of obvious scar tissue and fibrosis

Due to the subjective nature of a hair transplant result, in order for patients to be eligible for growth guarantee, they must submit themselves to a recount (physical recount and comparative of “before” photography). This is to ensure objectiveness.

5. Surgery

The patient must understand that during surgery he will be asked to follow simple commands and instructions by the medical team. The patients should follow the medical team’s instructions to the best of their ability in order to ensure the best possible outcome as well as to ensure their safety and that of the medical team. Failure to abide to the instructions provided or misbehaviour may result in the abrupt termination of surgery.

6. Growth and Results

Upon the first 10-15 days post-op, it is expected to have scabs in the recipient area. Redness in the recipient area may endure during the first few months.

Upon 1 month post-op, it is expected all transplanted hair to have fallen off. This is normal and an expected step after hair transplant surgery. Growth activity shall resume after 3-4 months post op.

At 5 months post-op, the patient is expected to come for a revision consultation. This is an intermediate step.

Final result is expected at 10-12 months post-op. Patients are expected to come for a revision consultation at this time.

7. Pre and Post-operative Care

All patients receive pre-operative instructions. All patients receive a post-operative care package and instructions. They should rigorously oblige to the information given to them in order to ensure a successful result. Dr. Bruno Ferreira or one of our staff will explain to you all the information given. In the case that our medical team prescribes any medication, patients should be aware that they may develop side-effects from the medication provided or prescribed.

In the case of any urgent matter, you’ll have access to Dr. Bruno Ferreira and/or one of our staff 24/7 over the phone/message during the first 2 weeks after the surgery. Due to the light nature of FUE hair transplant surgery, this is rare. Non-urgent matters shall be addressed accordingly.

8. Pre-operative Screening

All patients are subject to a pre-operative medical “check-up” consisting of a detailed medical history and blood work to ensure they are a candidate for surgery and do not have any contraindications that would jeopardize the success of the procedure. Patients over a certain age will also be asked to perform an ECG and to check-in with their cardiologist as a precaution. In the case that the patient has a specific health condition, Dr. Bruno Ferreira will ask the patient to check with his/her specialist doctor if there are any other contraindications for surgery. Patients should be aware that this does not guarantee that they are 100% fit for surgery and that unforeseen circumstances or unpredictable underlying or acute health conditions may arise during surgery, placing the patient’s health or the success of the surgery at risk. Patients should be aware that medicine is not an exact science and our medical team does patient pre- operative screening to the best of their ability.

9. Documentation

All documentation, medical and legal, must be delivered and signed for 15 days before the scheduled surgery date.
